BOEING 747 vs. ANTONOV AN-124 - The BIGGEST CARGO PLANES - LANDING, DEPARTURE (4K)

Last week I filmed an Antnonov AN-124 at Cologne which parked right next to a Boeing 747-8F of UPS. Two of the biggest cargo planes in the world right next to each other. While the Boeing 747-8F is used for normal cargo flights on a scheduled basis the Antonov An124 is focused on cargo charter flights. Currently there is not a single AN124 flying on scheduled flights worldwide. Just three civil cargo airlines operate the Antonov, Volga Dnepr, Antonov Design Bureau and Maximus Cargo. Sadly the forth operator, Polet Flight had to cease all operations a few years ago.

The main operators of the Boeing 747-8F are UPS, Cargolux, Air Bridge Cargo and Silk Way. Note that, the Volga Dnepr Group operates both aircrafts, the Boeing 747-8F (ABC) and the Antonov AN124 (VDA)
