I needed to make a replacement tiller to repair my rudder, but where could I find some 40-year-old Huon Pine? Full credit goes to my totally amazing and super tolerant wife of 40 years.
The last time we went out on Moonlight, I left the tiller behind at the launching ramp. I needed to make a replacement tiller, but I didn't have a template, so I had to make one first. The next step was to find a piece of Huon Pine suitable for the job, so I had to go searching. You will never guess where I found some 40-year-old Huon Pine that was perfect for the job.
