Burnside Bridge & the original graves of the men who fell there

When the Battle of Antietam ended on the evening of September 17, 1862, the work of burying the dead was just beginning. The men were buried near to where they fell, including here at Burnside Bridge. We take a look at the spot where some of those graves once were, and the photo that shows them.
