Ants don't have one weapon, they have three: jaws that cut, a stinger that injects venom, and in some species, formic acid sprayed from the abdomen. Only females sting (the stinger is a modified ovipositor), the bullet ant tops the Schmidt index at 4 out of 4, and the Dracula ant snaps its jaws at 90 m/s, the fastest body movement of any animal. But the one that hurts most isn't the most dangerous.
