Ottawa seeks to pause expansion of MAID to those suffering solely from mental illness

The federal government has announced it is seeking another pause on medical assistance in dying provisions that would cover those suffering solely from mental illness. Health Minister Mark Holland said Canada's health system is still 'not ready' for the expansion.
