Project Bolo - Manvendra Singh Gohil

PROJECT BOLO, meaning 'Project Speak Up', offers role models by documenting Indian LGBT persons -- their growing up, struggles, love, career, achievements and life.

Project Bolo's objective is to record Indian LGBT history, as well as inspire and empower the LGBT community in India, by presenting video interviews of LGBT persons and role models, who 'speak up' about their life and work.

This interview features MANVENDRA SINGH GOHIL.

----------------------------

MANVENDRA SINGH GOHIL

Manvendra Singh Gohil is the first Indian royalty to ever come out as a gay man. It took him many years of internal struggle, a failed marriage and an inspirational bonding with Ashok Row Kavi, before he veered away from being a lawyer to activism. His Lakshya Trust is today acknowledged as one of the best CBOs in Gujarat with projects that reach the grassroots and advocacy in the corridors that shape at the highest bureaucratic levels. He was the third Indian to be on the Ophrah Winfrey Show and has even led pride parades in Stockholm. Manvendra is an Indian prince who is truly international.
