A 'Ball and Socket' Camera Mount on a Photographic Tripod

This video helps illustrate James's article detailing his best tips for buying a photographic tripod. You can find that article here: https://photographyinsider.info/what-tripod-should-i-buy/

In the video James shows you a "Ball and Socket Tripod Head" for use as a camera mount on a photographic tripod. One of the great advantages of a "Ball and Socket Head" is that it allows you to move your camera very smoothly in any direction -- unlike many designs of "Pan and Tilt" heads that normally require you to move first in one direction and then another before you can frame your photograph perfectly.

James discusses the advantages and disadvantages of this sort of photographic tripod camera mount in his article on the Photography Incyder Info blog which gives his best tips for buying a photographic tripod.
