Life in Japan | my job in Tokyo, job hunting, shrine visits 🌺

Hi guys! In this week's life in japan/living in Tokyo vlog, we start it off with a visit to the Haruki Murakami library in Waseda. He's been instrumental in my interest in Japanese culture having read my first Haruki Murakami novel in high school. The next destination is Nezu Shrine cause I read about the つづじ祭り or Azalea festival. It was my first time seeing such perfectly spherical pink/red bushes lol and it was so cute! For lunch, we ate at Amane Saryo which is a cafe inside an old building that was renovated in Nezu/Sendagi. It turned out to be a two hour meal (well worth it though). In the afternoon we met up with Diana at Shinjuku to buy art materials for a painting date at our apartment. It was so much fun painting with her and having her teach us the ropes of color theory.

The next day Shogo and I explored the neighborhood of Kyodo which is deep in the suburbs of Tokyo (no particular reason). Then we had lunch at a Taiwanese restaurant and coffee at a newly opened cafe called Raw Sugar Roast. Later on we decided to head early to Shimokitazawa since it was where I would meet some friends for Manila (no footage cos we wanted to catch up :) )

I took myself out on a lunch date near my office since I was craving an egg sandwich. At the end of this video, I talk more about my job and where I work here in Tokyo and how I went about job hunting in Japan plus some tips!

💐about me
Hi! My name is Heidi and I live in Tokyo, Japan. 🍜
I moved to Tokyo, Japan as a Japanese language student in 2019 due to my love for the culture. Since that time I've passed the JLPT N4, JLPT N3 levels, and N2 levels! Hopefully, I pass N1 in the future.
In my free time, I love exploring all of what Japan has to offer: from eating delicious Japanese food to learning Japanese, to exploring local spots around the city I try my hand at documenting every moment of it.
Come join me!
