Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of Daily Planet's album "Hero", I went into world famous Abbey Road Studios 2 to create my own version of this song.
I originally wrote this song when I was 20 years old, reflecting on my parent's divorce 6 years prior. While it was a difficult season, it was also the time that I found deep solace in music and taught myself to play the guitar by immersing myself in the music of The Beatles, James Taylor, Elton John, Paul Simon, Billy Joel and David Bowie to name a few.
I've never really thought about a song having a "home", but recording this song in the room where The Beatles recorded nearly all of their music, and playing several of the microphones and instruments that they used to record with, somehow felt like bringing this song back to the place where it belonged.
