Tape baking and restoration - rare tapes: Yachts, The Christians, It's Immaterial & Henry Priestman

Here's a real treat for fans of Liverpool Indie Pop from the late '70s to the mid '80s. This is a tiny selection of the 13 tapes that we've recently baked, restored and digitised for Henry Priestman.

The short clips here feature rare, unreleased or unique tracks from three of Henry's bands:

YACHTS - a 1978 demo of Mantovani's Hits, a unique studio demo of Easy to Please from 1978's 'lousy' demo (!), and the Martin Rushent-produced Spimosa from 1979.
HENRY PRIESTMAN & JARVIS WHITEHEAD - The Rape of Java (b-side of unreleased It's Immaterial single, 1982)
THE CHRISTIANS - a superb live recording of Hooverville from The Albert, Liverpool, in October 1985; synth and a cappella vocals samples from, and an early demo version of, Forgotten Towns.

Superb stuff! We really hope that some of these wonderful tracks will see the light of day on an official release.
