Ben & Jerry’s slammed by supermarket over ‘racist policy’ to end sales in Israel

Morton Williams supermarkets co-owner Avi Kaner says it is a “crazed decision” by Ben & Jerry’s to discontinue selling ice cream in ‘Occupied Palestinian Territory’.

Ben & Jerry’s, in a statement, said it is “inconsistent with our values” to their ice cream to be sold in the “Occupied Palestinian Territory”.

Mr Kaner, in response to the move by Ben & Jerry’s, announced in a tweet his company is having a board meeting to “discuss ending sales of your ice cream in our supermarket chain”.

He told Sky News he hopes Ben & Jerry’s changes the policy and realises it is a “racist policy”.

“This was a targeted attack against the Jewish communities who happened to live in disputed areas of Israel.”
