We're here for the FIA Karting World Championship Press Conference at Kristianstad in Sweden following Friday Qualifying with our OK and OK Junior pole position sitters, Lorenzo Travisanutto and Gabriele Mini’.

Starting with you, Lorenzo. A very good start to the weekend. Talk us through your qualifying session.

Yeah, well, we were the second session, so we knew the track will get better through the session. So, we really need to pull out a perfect lap to try to be on pole at the end of all the sessions. Nothing, the feeling was very nice. The last practice, I was quick but not enough and so we made just few adjustment and the team did a perfect job and I just came out of the pit and I felt everything was perfect. Then, nothing, I just managed to put together a perfect lap and pretty perfect. So, that was it.

A very good session and now you're in a good position with so many top drivers to compete against. What can you expect through the course of the weekend?

Well, we just need, you know, we're starting first, so we just need to do our job try to stay ahead then we see if we can win them all. It's better but, of course, we see there's a lot of competitors around us, more or less all the top drivers are in the front, so I expect it's gonna be tough.

How is your team currently battling the changing conditions over the course of the weekend? We know that there's going to be lots of different conditions to deal with over the three days.

Yeah. Well, so basically you prepare two chassis. One is for wet and one is for dry and the same for the engine. You choose which one is for which and you just hope that the conditions remain quite consistent so at least you can sort of know before which one you're going to drive with. Anyway, you bring both and then you decide but normally we're prepared for both conditions already before.

Handing over to you now Gabriele. A very good performance in the Qualifying Session for the Junior World Championship. How did your Qualifying Session go?

Yeah, thank you for the congratulation and it was a very good qualifying because every group on the qualifying in the OK Junior was improving at the time and they did 52.7 and I did like a perfect lap. I couldn’t do better and with a little bit draft I did my first lap.

Your lap time was so much faster than some of your other competitors. Where do you think you and the Parolin Team have been able to find that extra time?

We worked very hard into the test and we found a very good set up and in the qualifying I find the draft I said before and I did a perfect lap.

You've had a very strong season in 2018 and obviously now you come into the World Championship in the best possible position. What is it going to mean to you if you can beat the very strong competitive field that we have here at Kristianstad?

It would be very good but the weekend starts now. There will be a lot of Heats but the final race will be that one who will assign the winner of the World Championship. So, I have to stay calm into the Heats and then try to do my best into the final.
