"Huge UK musical influence as the singer for The Specials and Fun Boy Three Revitalizing the ska rude boy movement in the 70s in London and combining it with the punk scene that included bands like Madness, The Beat, The Selecter and influenced American ska punk funk bands like Fishbone.

Glad we were finally able to do The Specials' “Ghost Town” this past Hulaween. It often comes up in SCI rehearsal, now and then, about the influence and appreciation of ska music, whether it’s Toots and the Maytals from the 60s, it’s revitalized cousin in the form of The Specials or Madness from the 70s, or The Untouchables from the 80s." - Jason Hann
