Judgment reserved in Mkhwebane R10 million gratuity matter

Judgment has been reserved in an interlocutory application in former Public Protector Advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane's main bid over a gratuity to the tune of millions, which she contends is owed to her.

Rroceedings kicked off with the incumbent, Advocate Kholeka Gcaleka seeking to have her predecessor's bid - to have her held in contempt - set aside, arguing that it was an irregular step.

The Public Protector told the court that this latest bid by her predecessor merely seeks to punish and harass her.
