1980 Ghia Mustang lives again!

My son recently got his license and wanted a Mustang. I was not a mustang guy at the time, but I knew a foxbody was the way to go. Four eyed carburetor was the criteria. We pulled the trigger on this 1980 Ghia.

The Ghia is almost bone stock, including it’s vintage 255cc 4.2 lol. It’s been off the road for 19 years. After doing all the normal stuff to make sure it is safe and drives, these last few weeks we worked on AC (old R12 system that is ice cold still) and replacing the rear diff and all bushings. The original diff was a 7.5 with a 2.26 gear! Now at least we have a 8.8 Lok with a 3.08 gear. Good enough for now.
