Broken Hand Plane - Perfect Restoration

In this video I restore a stanley no 8 jointer plane that I found in a puddle at an estate sale. The tote and knob on it were broken. Fortunately there weren't any cracks or chips, so I decided to restore the plane. I used black engine enamel for the body and frog which I put three coats of on and then baked in the oven. After that I coated the plane in two coats of matte clear enamel. I flattened the sole of the plane and resharpened the blade and it works perfectly now. I added it to my collection and really like how it turned out.
