Can I Survive with Nowhere to Sleep in the Olympic Wilderness?

Motovlog Solo adventure motorcycle travel

Before the terrifying ordeal of having nowhere to sleep there’s a lot of awesome adventure. Waking up moto camping at a great spot in the Olympic National Forest beside a secret lake was a definite highlight of the whole motorcycle adventure road trip. Rolling through the Olympic Peninsula backcountry is a beautiful experience. After getting on the highway 101 we find a great roadside diner in Amanda Park for a delicious burger. It gets pretty chilly as we reach the beach on the Pacific Ocean to see the waves crashing on the sands of the west coast.

Getting inland opens up the opportunity of hitting some backcountry dirt roads of the Olympic Peninsula once again and enjoy the forest before getting stuck and turned around by a gate. This big detour puts me in a bad spot trying to find a spot to camp as the sun is going down. It’s a tough slog of an adventure that ends putting me at Bob’s Cycle camp in Forks Washington where the show Twilight was filmed.
