Yamaha XSR700--GoPro Hero6 Black--Help stop the crackling!!!

Hey ya'll!! The ongoing GoPro saga continues, and I need you help! Over the last few videos, since using the GoPro Hero6 Black, I have noticed quite a bit of "crackling" going on throughout the video. I have tried several remedies including, but not limited to, changing the external mic settings to auto, then to manual (stereo only, and wind reduction only), all new mic hardware, GoPro official external mic adapter, etc... In this video, the setting is on auto, with only a fuzzy wind blocker on the mic itself. It is a bit less annoying here, but there must still be something I'm missing. Any advice is welcome!
