Open your eyes and heart and just listen to what’s going on around you but also to what’s going on within you. I know I’m not myself right now. I’m just not. Sure, I can smile and laugh here and there but the truth is that since Sammy died I’ve been sad and angry most of the time. I am aware of it, I’m aware and I understand that this is part of the grieving process. I won’t allow distractions (even positive ones) to make me think that everything is ok. To be the pack leader I want to be for my animals I have to know when to ask for help and that’s exactly what I did.
