Bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt and former 135-pound titlist T.J. Dillashaw will serve as coaches on the 25th season of “The Ultimate Fighter.”
The news was announced during the UFC Fight Night 103 broadcast on Sunday night. Garbrandt will defend his belt against T.J. Dillashaw at an as-yet-to-be-determined event later this year.

The latest season of the reality show, entitled “The Ultimate Fighter: Redemption,” will feature athletes who have competed on past seasons, former “TUF” winners and at least one fighter currently on the UFC roster. “TUF: Redemption” will open with a two-hour season premiere April 19 on Fox Sports 1. More information on the cast will be revealed at a later date.

Garbrandt authored a breakout 2016 campaign, winning four fights that culminated with a five-round verdict over Dominick Cruz to capture 135-pound gold in the UFC 207 co-main event on Dec. 31.

Dillashaw, meanwhile, has scored back-to-back decision triumphs over Raphael Assuncao and John Lineker after losing the title to Cruz via split decision approximately one year ago. Dillashaw and Garbrandt were formerly training partners at Team Alpha Male before Dillashaw left for Elevation Fight Team in Colorado.
