We barely talk ever since he & his ex-wife, Dana, divorced 2 years ago. My wife and I sided with Dana because he’d left her for his mistress and didn’t even try to fight for custody of my two nephews (12 &9).

She’s still like family to us and we’re more involved in her life than my brother’s.

He wasn’t happy that we stopped inviting him to our home for get-togethers because we always invited Dana and the kids instead. There was a lot of family drama, my parents took his side over this and we went low contact for a while. We only started seeing each other again a few months ago but we aren’t as close as we used to be.
