Garmin Instinct Solar Review (including Instinct vs Forerunner 245)

The Garmin Instinct Solar’s most exciting new feature is the solar panels on the face of the watch, which can extend its battery life considerably (or possibly even indefinitely, in certain modes), but that’s far from all that’s new with this outdoor watch, which is a major upgrade on the original Instinct.

Run Tester Nick has been testing out the Instinct Solar to see how much battery those solar panels really add, and whether it can cut it as your go-to running watch, or if you’re better off opting for a Forerunner 245.
