Corneal Ulcer Causes, Symptoms, Treatments

A corneal ulcer, is an open sore of the cornea. This disorder has Fewer than 200,000 new cases in the US per year.
Causes.
Corneal ulcers can occur from an eye injury, or bacterial, fungal, or viral infection.

Symptoms.
Some Symptoms include eye redness, eye pain, excessive tearing, and blurry vision.

Treatments.
If caused by an infection, treatments may include, an antibiotic, antifungal, or antiviral medication.
For non-infectious causes, a treatment may include an eye patch.
