Davison Community Schools - Teacher Snowball!

Pilot Program: Swing Dancing for Students, Grade K - 8. We had the special opportunity to spend 3 hours with PE teachers in the Davison Community Schools for their personal development day. The Dance Project showed these professionals how swing dancing can be effectively incorporated into their current PE curriculum, crossing over to music & mathematics. Teachers listened to how swing dancing education aligns with national, state and local standards. All were taught the basic step, turn and dip. And a slideshow was given, presenting application to their programs and the tremendous outcomes for students that swing dancing provides.
