How many earthlike planets are in our galaxy? | Astronomy update

As an amateur astrophotographer, I always wonder how many planets are in our own milky way. Exoplanets are planets orbiting other stars outside our solar system. In this video I try to answer this question by looking at 25 years of exoplanet research. Spoiler alert: professional astronomers already found thousands of planets in our own galaxy, some of them earthlike and potentially habitable. Exciting stuff.
