Fictional Backstory:
This takes place in Hinds County, MS, where a fictional cable company “SouthNet”, has operations in said area. However, this company still has analog operations due to the company’s budget on stuff. They also still have their HollyAnne MIP-921 and their Cable Envoy CEMS-1000. The cable company monitors IPAWSCAP via the Gorman-Redlich CAPDEC CAP-to-EAS unit. The test seen here was sent through a local FM station, by FEMA, which was monitored by the CAPDEC. The unit isn’t configured properly, hence, alerts like this go through. A example of this is shown.
