Over Explaining Is a Trauma Response | Signs of a Traumatized Nervous System #narcissisticabuse

Nothing exposes a traumatized nervous system faster than feeling like you need a 10-page explanation for basic human behaviour.

Over-explaining is one of the most common trauma responses people develop after living in abusive, emotionally unpredictable, or psychologically unsafe environments.

In this video, I break down:
• why survivors over-explain
• how trauma conditions the nervous system
• the connection between hypervigilance and communication
• how survival adaptations can affect healthy relationships later in life

A lot of survivors are not “too sensitive.”
Their nervous systems adapted to survive environments where being misunderstood, criticized, or emotionally punished felt dangerous.
