how to fit a distributor

1.set engine on No. 1 compression stroke at top dead centre
2. to get no.1 at top dead centre compression stroke, crank engine with finger in spark plug hole until a chuff sound is heard
3. line up harmonic balancer mark with zero on timing case cover
4. place distributor into engine lining rotor button with no.1 lead
5. replace leads, spark plug, distributor wire and distributor mount bolt
6. set timing with a test light, and start engine
