Carl Jung's Haunted House Story

Carl Jung's Haunted House Story
This video on Carl Jung covers Jung's writings on his experiences in a haunted house. Carl Jung has some psychological theories of ghosts and outlines his personal account of a haunted house that he stayed at with his colleague. Carl Jung contributed this haunted house story to a publication called Spuk by Fanny Moser, which is about ghosts, hauntings, or poltergeists. Luckily this excerpt has been translated into English and published in the book by C. G. Jung called Psychology and the Occult. You can read that book to find the full text on Carl Jung's haunted house story. The haunted house excerpt can be found from pages 174-183. Carl Jung also talked about the exteriorization of emotions, hypnoid catalepsy, dramatised intuitions, and hypnagogic hallucinations to account for the phenomena of ghosts and haunted houses. Although he did not completely explain away the phenomena with these psychological explanations.
