My hunt for the best tacos in Mexico City! This was my personal journey into the Taco Chronicles (Las Crónicas Del Taco) created before Netflix came out with their series. I was unable to release it earlier as it was in submission to film festivals.

I spent 3 weeks in Mexico City looking for the best tacos - this laid the foundation for creating my short film called “Vitamin Taco”.
This short is about the events leading me to find the one - the one taco you can't live without.
Meet the locals in CDMX and come with me as we eat our way through the city - looking for the best tacos.

I ate a lot of tacos during those 3 weeks…sometimes as much as 5 times a day to find the best tacos. Some tacos were better than others. But here’s the thing about tacos, tacos are like sex. Even if it’s not the best you’ve ever had…it’s still pretty good.
While I was travelling in Mexico - I learned the concept of Vitamin T and how it applies to Mexican food!
Vitamin T is the matriarch of Mexican cuisine. It encompasses corn based food such as tamales, tacos, tostadas, and tortas.
It’s the basis of Mexican survival.
The food scene in CDMX is daunting and to do this right, I had to focus on one thing. So I focused on the humble taco which turned out not to be so humble and quite a lot more complicated than it appears. I was fascinated by the taco for a number of reasons. The tortilla itself is a multipurpose apparatus for Mexican cuisine. It’s a fork, a spoon, a plate, a napkin and a meal.
Then you have numerous fillings, and salsas. Here we find tacos al pastor, tacos guisado, tacos de barbacoa, tacos de lengua, tripa, oyo, sesos (cow tongue, intestine, eyeball and cow brain), tacos de chicharon, suadero...there are plenty of tacos to choose from.
