RAM MOUNT X GRIP - is it any good? Fake V’s real version, which is better?

I bought a cheap version on eBay, thinking it looks the same but will it stand the test of time on my road travels.
Bought on eBay for £8 ish I thought I got a good deal as it came with usb for power which made me happy. All worked for a few months until without notice it fell off due to a flaw in manufacturing. The Allen key bolt on top which keeps the x grip fixed to the usb base dropped off. So o can say without any doubt it is a piece of waste plastic and tin now laying in my garage bin.
X-mount grip (the real version) came in at £42 (shock) a lot more than I wanted to pay and the other case I wanted was ultimate addons which would have been better than the lot of them but as I had a good case and didn’t want a new one the only option was the xmount. Fit and finish is great. Does it move when on bars, nope it’s a lot more sturdy than the other and I have high hopes that it will be my last mount, (it has a lifetime guarantee) I just have to remember where I put it lol.
So I took bike out for 300 mile ride and the mount didn’t move, managed to get a few pictures of places and the mount and phone worked perfectly.
Am I happy, to ruddy right I am I wish I just bought this for the start.
