This is my song, "A Woman's Cry." It is about unbelievable pain and anguish, despair, anger, and even rage. The worst is not knowing and in every case where the outcome is horrible, how does one cope with that? There are plenty of platitudes that I will NOT give. Although I know it personally, I will not say that "she's in a better place." The best thing to do is be there for the loved ones and friends, and say nothing at all.
I have officiated my share of Crossing Ceremonies, played my flute, and cried.
Let's never forget the #mmiwg and the ever increasing #mmiw2s -
Let's do something to keep the matter alive, and maybe, just maybe, the ones who let it all happen will grow a heart, and maybe, just maybe, we can bring them back home.
