World War II tanks are often remembered as legendary machines, but many of the most famous designs had serious mechanical, tactical, and logistical flaws. Armor and firepower mattered, but they did not always make a tank effective in real combat.

This video examines famous World War II tanks such as the Matilda II, Tiger I, Panther, King Tiger, Char B1 bis, and Soviet T-34. Some were heavily armored and powerfully armed, but suffered from underpowered engines, unreliable transmissions, poor ergonomics, difficult maintenance, and extreme logistical demands.

The Panther and King Tiger showed how advanced engineering could become a burden when rushed production, fuel shortages, and complex repairs entered the battlefield. The T-34, meanwhile, proved that mass production and battlefield availability could sometimes matter more than perfect construction quality.

This is a historical and educational look at the difference between tank legends and battlefield reality — where reliability, production, supply chains, and resource management were often just as important as armor thickness or gun size.
