AWS Backup Lab for Cybersecurity Specialist

Backups/Snapshots play a pivotal role in cybersecurity as it is the core element in the Recovery phase of the NIST Incident and Response lifecycle.
Backups helps to harden our systems against accidental deletions, overwrites, system failures, natural disasters, and cybersecurity threats. Clean offline backups for durability and online backups for fast failover.

📚 Today we will do a lab with the service 'AWS Backups' which is AWS centralized automated backup service that is jam-packed with features..
•Supports encryption in flight and at rest with KMS Key Management Service (uses symmetric AES 256 algorithm)
•Supports fine grained access controls via resource based policies to regulate permissions.
•Supports Vault
•Supports WORM (writ once read many)storage to prevent admin and users from altering or deleting backups through Backup Vaults which also encrypts all resource by default
•Supports cross region and cross account backups
•Supports Tagging to add resources to Backup plans
