This hike had it all. Crazy river fords. A camp encounter with a curious bear. Expert trail finding. A fossil field 2,300 m above sea level. Walking along the Continental Divide. Scrambling to 2,800 m along a mountain ridge with drop-dead cliffs on either side. Porcupines. Amazing mountain lakes. Solitude

I've been wanting to compete this hike for years. It's in the Elk Range of the Canadian Rockies in Kananaskis, so I'm calling this the Elk Highline.
