How to Create a Slice Typography Effect in Canva

In this video, I'll show you how to create a slice typography effect in Canva.

Step 1:
Click on the background and change the background color as needed.

Step 2:
Go to the text tab, add a heading, type your text, and customize the text style.

Step 3:
Adjust the text size and move it to the top part of the page. Duplicate the text and move the copy to the bottom part of the page.

Step 4:
Go to the elements tab, click on shapes, and add a square shape to the page.

Step 5:
Adjust the size and position of the square so it covers a portion of both the top and bottom text.

Step 6:
Change the shape color to match the background color.

Step 7:
Duplicate your original text and place the duplicate on the top layer. Move it over the shape, then adjust its size and color to complete the effect.
