Hey guys! Wanted to continue with my new year themed videos + film a video with tips on how you can be the best version of yourself. These are some easy life hacks for every day that will make you more organized AND have less anxiety!

I'm a naturally disorganized / late / clumsy mess of a person, but running my own company REALLY made me change a lot of my habits. These are hacks I learned in my own life that really helped me be more productive and less stressed!

The key to becoming the best version of yourself is by being realistic with your goals + expectations. Take practical steps every day towards what you want + make reasonable changes!

10 LIFE HACKS YOU NEED TO KNOW: HAVE LESS ANXIETY AND BE MORE ORGANIZED!
1. Designate a spot for things you easily lose: your keys, your purse, your phone. If you're someone who runs late / easily loses things and feels frustrated, this hack will change your life! I have a tray on an entry table by my door that I ALWAYS put my keys / purse in, as well as anything else that I'll want for the day. Work with your weakness, develop a routine + you can eliminate stress from your day

2. Get ready faster: I keep a rolling rack of all of my favorite pieces that I KNOW I love wearing this season. Pick a section in your closet to place your favorite pieces / outfits. You can grab any of these pieces if you're running late and KNOW that you look good + feel confident!

3. Time yourself: Time how long your routine actually takes: when you're going your regular speed AND at your fastest. Time how long it takes you to get to places [like walking from your dorm to class, driving to work] this way you know REALLY how long it takes you to get ready and you'll avoid the stress of being rushed and late!

4. Plan for the worst: pack a portable charger to avoid being caught with a dead phone, pack a snack or water, always be prepared!

5. Write things down: I use a monthly planner for my schedule, a daily to-do list organized by what's most important and the notes app for random thoughts during the day. This way you never forget anything you needed or wanted to do!

6. Schedule yourself: Put yourself on the one hour plan when you have a project you need to do [a paper to write, a room to clean, a task you need to finish] say that you'll work for 1 uninterrupted hour

7. Take breaks: After that one hour, reward yourself with a REAL break- surf social media, get a snack, watch a show on netflix. Let your mind fully take a break, enjoy the time off, then get back to your project. Be honest with yourself that you will be doing other things and this way you will get more done in less time + also ENJOY when your surfing instead of being stressed and procrastinating.

8. Multi task: Have a chore you need to do? A room you need to organize? Laundry you need to fold? Set up your computer and play a netflix show while you do it! This way you're letting yourself watch your shows guilt free because you're still getting tasks done. You could also play a podcast or listen to a book!

9. Create Email Folders: create folders in your inbox to organize your life and keep you on task. I keep folders for events so I can easily find an address as well as a folder called 'respond' that I check at the end of the day to make sure I get back to.

10. Be realistic with your goals: new years resolutions mostly fail because people aren't realistic with them. If someone who never works out decides that this year they want to be healthy and 'work out every day', it will most likely leave them burnt out. The goal wasn't the problem- it's that it wasn't realistic! Try signing up for a weekly exercise class instead- you're already doing 100% more than you were and this way you can build yourself up to the regiment you want to be at!

These are easy life hacks that will make you a more productive, less stressed version of yourself. Implement them into your daily routine and start to become the person you always wanted to be!
