PERIPHERAL CHEMORECEPTORS/ CHEMICAL REGULATION OF RESPIRATION
Join us in this three part of series of Regulation of Respiration. During 1st part we discussed about Neural Regulation of Respiration. In this 2nd part we are discussing Chemical Regulation of Respiration where after overview, Peripheral Chemoreceptors which are Carotid bodies and Aortic bodies are main part of discussion. Their Anatomy, and Physiological mechanism in effect of change in Partial pressure of Oxygen, CO2 and H+ on ventilation is elaborated. In 3rd part we will talk about Central Chemoreceptors in next.
