My friend used to tell me, “I'm a virgin, my girlfriend's a virgin, we don't have sex, we've been dating for seven years. I've been following the bible and Jesus all my life. And so one day he called me and he told me he wants to propose to his girlfriend, get her a ring and ask her to marry him. And I told him, “Before you do that brother, don't you think you should ask the Father of the bride permission? And he said, “Bro, I've talked to her dad, he's cool with it, he knows.” And I said, “That's not who I'm talking about, Jesus said we have one Father who is in heaven, you need to ask Him permission.” He got a little bit defensive, like, “No I don't have to do that, obviously God wants me to marry her, we should all marry and have a Holy family.” And I said, “Okay, just pray about it just in case.” So we prayed about it. He prayed you know, “Heavenly Father I ask you permission to marry your daughter. Is it your will that I marry her or is it your will that I don't marry her? Show me your will regarding this.” That was what the dream was about. For the Father to reveal His will about this gentleman's life. Now the next morning apparently his mother received a powerful dream and of course he didn't even tell her about this prayer. He called me, he said, “When I woke up my mother called me in and said, 'Hey son I had a dream from Jesus about you.'” And in the dream I believe he said, he said that she saw an angel come to her and said, “Jesus sent me to you in this dream to tell you what God's will is for your son. God's will for your son is to receive the Living Water and to go preach it so other people can receive the Living Water.” And that was it. So he told me and I said, “Well what do you get from that?” He said, “Well that's God's will that I do that, but He didn't mention anything about marriage. I can do that while I'm married. He didn't say, “Don't get married.” I said, “Good point. Let's ask again.” So we prayed again. And this time in that same night, apparently his girlfriend received a dream. So the next day he came on the phone and he said,”Hey bro, guess what. God showed my girlfriend a dream.” I said, “What was the dream?” And in the dream she said that both her and this gentleman in question were going out on a date. And they went into this restaurant. And they were eating food, and they were drinking a beer, they were having a really good time and all of a sudden there was a huge earthquake. Everyone was scared, the building was falling apart, so they all run outside, they look and the sky looks like the world is gonna end. And all of a sudden here comes Jesus. So Jesus comes to them and He tells them, “You chose one another over me. You will not spend eternity by my side.” And he said his girlfriend or fiancé, I think in the dream they were married actually, this was years ago, but in the dream she looked at him and said, “It's your fault! Why did you ask me to marry you! Why did you pull me away from Jesus?” And he was telling her, “No it's your fault!” And they were blaming each other for pulling each other away from Jesus in life so they couldn't serve Him a hundred percent. Still not convinced, I guess right? He told me he doesn't want to talk to me anymore, that he's going to think about this. I said, “Okay.” I can't push, right? He comes to me I think six months later, he said that he got married to her, he gave her the ring, they got married, maybe a year later. We didn't talk for a while actually, could have been a year. But he came back, he wanted to talk to me and he said they got married and they went on their honeymoon. And he said when they went on their honeymoon in real life that they went to this island in Puerto Rico, I believe. And he said from the moment they landed there was this huge hurricane coming in, really bad weather. They couldn't even leave the hotel. It was so windy that nobody was on the streets. And it got so bad that in three days they had to fly them with an emergency helicopter far away to an airport that was a little bit of the danger zone and they flew them right back out to Florida from which they caught a flight to the West Coast, which is where they lived. So his honeymoon was ruined. And then he said, “Well that's not why I'm calling. I'm calling because my wife got pregnant and then she had a miscarriage. And we're really broken about this, we think God's curse is upon us.” And it was really sad, I really felt bad for them. They're already married and he just asked me, he goes, “Bro can you please pray that God give us a healthy child because I... if we don't get another child I think this might destroy our marriage because we really wanted a baby and if she had this miscarriage and if she can't get pregnant again ever, this is going to be really bad.” So I prayed, he prayed. And God answered his prayer, gave him a child about a year later. And to this day he hasn't really sought Jesus fully. He's content with his destiny. Are you?
