DORSET WALK AT KNOWLTON (& GUSSAGE ALL SAINTS)

This is the first video in a series of walks in Dorset and once again I am accompanied by my Whippet, Logan. In this episode, we start from the pretty village of Gussage All Saints and look at the Church & Drovers Inn before heading out through some lovely open countryside to our main destination – the atmospheric ruin of Knowlton Church, standing in the centre of a Neolithic earthworks.

The “Knowlton Henge” is thought to be at least 4,500 years old and is now a protected heritage site. In addition, we come across the “Great Barrow” (the largest Bronze Age Round Barrow in Dorset) as well as a couple of ancient Yew trees that have some surprising “additions” to them!

It was a very overcast day whilst I was filming and my Gopro camera found the "low light" conditions a bit of a challenge! I hope that it does not spoil your enjoyment of the video.
