Salmonella - a quick introduction and overview

Salmonella is a group of bacteria that can infect animals and humans. There are over 2500 different types of the bacteria. They are a common cause of foodborne disease and causes millions of cases of illness each year. Salmonella causes two main types of illness: typhoidal and non-typhoidal salmonellosis.

This video takes a look at the bacteria, the diseases that it causes and how to prevent it.
