In April 2021 a trailer was published on the Playstation Blog showcasing a new PS5 exclusive horror game code named: Abandoned being developed by Blue Box Game Studios. 2 months later on June 15th, Blue Box Game Studios tweeted a cryptic hint as to what the actual title of the game is, which led many to speculate it's a Silent Hill game. The more the community dug, the more strange connections to Silent Hill and Hideo Kojima surfaced.
