🔴 Eccentric Connection (Offset Loading):
When the load is applied away from the centerline, it creates eccentricity (e). This generates a moment (M = P × e), leading to rotation, torsion, and combined stresses (shear + tension) in bolts. The load path becomes uneven, making the connection more critical in design.
🟢 Concentric Connection (Axial Loading):
When the load acts along the centerline (e = 0), the connection carries pure axial load. There is no moment, and bolts experience only direct shear. The load transfer is uniform, resulting in a stable and efficient connection.

Concentric connections are preferred for simplicity and stability, while eccentric connections require careful design due to additional moment effects.
