At the central library, a woman is murdered at midnight through a weapon hidden in a book. The CID begins the investigation of the library murder case and finds that Aman, an advocate, was the last person who collected the book from the library. Aman happens to be the legal advisor of a steel baron, Keshavnath, who was killed along with his associates, Shimona and Prannoy, in a fire accident at his farmhouse. The case takes a surprising turn when it is revealed that Keshavnath and Shimona are alive while Prannoy has been shot dead. The CID team's first case after the return of ACP Pradyuman (Shivaji Satam) is indeed challenging. Why did Keshavnath fake his death? How is the library murder connected to Keshavnath?
