REI Flash Air 1 Tent | Testing The Tent In a New England Storm

I recently made a setup and initial impressions video of the REI Flash Air 1 Tent. In this video I will take it out on a good night and also during a terrible New England storm. Going to be honest... in the heavy rain the tent did not preform well with condensation at all. I mentioned the rain fly sewn to the floor was very worrisome and that proved accurate. Water all over the tent from condensation running down the fly into the bathtub

Some additional things I would like to mention the tent weighs about 4oz more for everything according to my scale at home. REI lists the full weight of everything at 1lb 6oz but the weight was 1lb 10oz on my scale. Please see below for the weight of everything according to my scale. I recommend using the grams measurements as the ounces I believe round.

REI Flash Air 1 Weights
Hub Pole - 1.25oz or 35g
Door Pole - 1.70oz or 48g
Foot Pole - 0.50oz or 14g

I have removed all affiliate links from my videos. While I was specifically going out of my way to disclose any affiliate status in my videos, as well as recommend people not purchase gear or items they don't need, having these affiliate links has always felt slightly contrary to how I would like to operate.

Please note that I am not recommending any of the gear seen in any of my videos. This is what I use and what I have found works best for me and my hiking style at this current period of time. I have come to these conclusions through vast levels of trial and error with gear. In my opinion the only way you will find what truly works for you is by using the gear you already have and finding its positives and negatives. Do not buy gear just because it worked for, or was recommended by, someone on YouTube.
