Linear slide/rail/cam roller for a grinder DIY Part 1/2

For a long time I have been thinking to do a surface grinder, so I decided to make a domestic model.
A linear slide was required, so I built one.
The goal was to manufacture a piece of equipment that is not too complicated, affordable, something lightweight and easy to construct with standard available parts.
I remodeled a shower a few years back and saved the aluminum rails, which were laying around for a few years.
Over the years I collected a large amount of parts, most of them from former projects and also recycling is very important to me.
