Those were the lasts words ever spoken by Canned Heat's frontman: Bob "The Bear" Hite backstage at the world famous Palomino Club on the night of April 6, 1981 before taking a giant snort of pure heroin. He apparently believing this powder was only cocaine. As to this dowdy, shoddy and dilapidated lady of a building sadly bereft, lonely, abandoned and forgotten with nary a plaque heralding to unsuspecting passers by as to this buildings contribution to our American popular culture!...
