Getting HUGE Tones at Quiet Volumes with BIG AMPS! (with No Power Attenuation!)

In this video, I show you how to get really great electric guitar rock and roll tones (dad-rock) at low volumes. This video is targeted towards those who only have big amplifiers. Getting a good tone down on an album or recording can be a challenge on a large amp when you don't want to wake up the neighbors. In this video, I show you how I dial in a great guitar tone at a low volume using a 20-watt amplifier with a 12" speaker.

One thing a lot of people don't know is that overdrive and distortion pedals were designed to give you the "huge tone" at any volume. Most people think of an overdrive or distortion as a boost pedal these days.

I am not using any other tricks or power attenuation devices in this recording. I have also not added any post EQ to the recording. If you want a fatter tone you can simply add it in post-production or EQ the pedal accordingly.
