Effect of temperature on solubility | class 12 solution | JEE / NEET
Effect of temperature on solid and liquid
Increase in Temperature: For most solid solutes, solubility increases as the temperature rises. This happens because the solvent molecules move faster at higher temperatures, allowing them to break the bonds between solute particles more efficiently.
Decrease in Temperature: For gases, the solubility generally decreases as the temperature increases. This is because warmer solvent molecules have more kinetic energy, causing gas molecules to escape from the liquid more easily.
