Sharri Markson rips into PM s lack of ‘leadership’ following synagogue arson attack

News host Sharri Markson has emotionally ripped into Prime Minister Albanese over his lack of "political leadership” after a Melbourne synagogue was targeted in an arson attack.

A Melbourne synagogue has been left with significant damage after a fire ripped the building in a suspected arson attack in the early hours of Friday morning.

“I can’t tell you how angry I am; truly angry to hear him just say ... that antisemitism has been around for a long time,” Ms Markson said.

“He has said the bare minimum on this issue over the past year, he hasn’t shown leadership or strength and that’s why we end up in this situation right now where a synagogue is firebombed.”
